Introduction

Dispersible Xanthan Gum a kind of powder with good quality. It can be used in most waters, the salinity or hardness of the water does not have much effect on it. It is essentially a dispersible high molecular weight biopolymer. This product acts as an excellent thickener, suspending agent, emulsifier, stabilizer and can be used at temperatures up to 250°F. The product is easily degraded by bacteria, and it should be treated with fungicides in time to prevent it from fermenting. At the situation that mud PH values above 10.0, the product is more sensitive to soluble calcium and has the potential to precipitate out of solution. However, salinity has little effect on its solubility, so this product can be added to most waters. The product can be used in drilling, milling, reaming and gravel packing operations or as a suspending agent and weighting material in fresh and salt water systems
