Product Details
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Immobilized lipase IM-NE100 is produced by submerged fermentation of Candida Antarctica followed by purification, formulation and immobilization. This product is an immobilized preparation of thermostable lipase, which is especially suitable for the synthesis of esters and amines. It has broad substrate specificity and can facilitate reactions between a wide range of primary and secondary alcohols and carboxylic acids. It can be applied to the process of batch reaction; it can also be used in the process of continuous column reactor.

Functions
1. Especially suitable for the synthesis of esters and amines, such as production of triglycerides with high levels of EPA and DHA.
2. Broad specificity accepts a wide range of alcohols and fatty acids as substrates for modification.
3. Specific enzyme reaction results in a very low level of by-products.
4. Reactions can be carried out at mild temperatures limiting destruction of heat-labile components.
5. Immobilized products can be reused multiple times and no enzymes are present in the final product.
Dosage
Recommended dosage is 1-4% by weight of substrate.
Definition of Activity
One unit of activity was defined as the amount of enzyme required to synthesize 1 μmol of propyl laurate from lauric acid and propanol at 60°C in 1 minute.
